Partnerships Between Institutions Of Higher Education andTheir Environments

In addition to education, universities and colleges have an important role to play in transferring knowledge in partnership with development organizations. Examples of this include UQAM’s Service aux collectivités and the TIESS in Quebec, Community-based Research Canada (CBRC), Mondragon in Spain, Global University Network International (GUNI) or Brazilian technology incubators, to name but a few. Based on initiatives and examples of cooperation between institutions of higher education and their environments, this working group offers an opportunity to share visions and experiences of this type of engagement by identifying the conditions for success and their impact.
