Female Managers in the Social and Solidarity Economy: Issues, Good Practices and Avenues of Change in an Egalitarian Perspective
Evaluation of SSE Sectors and Organizations
Coordinated by the organizations member of the Women and SSE working group*
Women are the many faces behind the implementation of constructive territorial projects with real impact on the populations that live in them. For instance, as initiators of collective kitchens, solidarity-based financing projects and fair trade projects, they are at the heart of the global social economy. As directors of collective businesses, they are faced with various issues such as an equal representation in social economy decision-making, access to decent working conditions, work-family life balance and skill building to ensure the viability of their projects. With this working group, we wish to bring together women, political decision makers and organisations working in favor of equality to discuss the challenges and best practices in this respect and to elicit recommendations for the future.
